Created in 2009 at Ecole des Mines in Nantes, this chair brings together the Foundation and the main stakeholders in the nuclear waste sector, namely ANDRA (the French agency for radioactive waste management), EDF and AREVA.
This teaching and research chair was created in 2009 with two aims: to improve our understanding of current changes and challenges in the energy sector, and to promote solutions based on energy efficiency and renewable energy.
Training of international renown, backed by French know-how in the nuclear domain and associated with a high-level university course. This brand new Masters, co-funded by the Foundation, brings together all of the disciplines necessary for a successful career in the nuclear domain.
Exploring possible futures and casting light on the consequences of today's choices on tomorrow: these are the ambitious aims of this new Chair bringing together Ecole des Mines de Paris, Ecole des Ponts et Chaussées and AgroParisTech, amongst others.
Created in 2008 and carried by Ecole des Mines ParisTech and Ecole des Ponts ParisTech, the Chair enjoys the support of EDF, GDF-SUEZ and GRTgaz. The Chair develops teaching missions for Masters programmes and for the specific training provided at the Material Ageing Institute, whose research centre was created in 2009.
Created in 2008 in partnership with Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées to explore the details and processes involved in hydraulics, engineering structures and sedimentary trends. Christened the Adhémar Barré de Saint Venant Chair, it was created in January 2008 at the initiative of Ecole des Ponts ParisTech and its foundation, with the support of EDF. The Chair explores the ups and down and the processes involved in hydraulics, engineering structures and sedimentary trends.
Nuclear and Renewable Energies, in partnership with the Ecole Polytechnique (http://www.polytechnique.fr/). Created in 2008 in partnership with EDF, the European foundation for tomorrow's energies and the Fondation de l'Ecole Polytechnique, the Sustainable Energies Chair is particularly active within the context of the 3rd year teaching programme at the Ecole Polytechnique, focusing on the "Energies of the 20th Century".

The Foundation contributes to the development and promotion of energy training by encouraging the establishment of new partnerships and the introduction of concrete plans of action at engineering schools and universities in France and around the world. Its commitment is in the closest possible alignment with the expectations of students and the needs of industrialists.
As a partner of Schools and Universities, the Foundation works to support the development of the various disciplines and excellence in energy-related education. Training is thus perfectly adapted to the latest requirements of the nuclear, hydraulic, solar, wind, clean coal and energy efficiency domains.
The Foundation funds teaching and research chairs, and strikes agreements and specific partnerships with engineering schools and universities.
It enriches the pallet of available training by supporting the creation and funding of Masters courses specialising in energies, as well as the enhancement and creation of optional courses in energy for 3rd year Engineering students.
This is one of the key missions of the European foundation for tomorrow's energies: supporting new talent through the arrangement of funding for theses, grants, study trips, work placements and projects during sandwich years… … to allow you to enjoy the support of the Foundation around the world during your training on the energies of tomorrow.
The aim of the European foundation for tomorrow's energies is to make a high level contribution to higher education. The Foundation invites key figures renowned for their expertise and their ability to contribute in a concrete manner to the issues involved in energy-related training.
At the core of the Foundation's processes. Composed of scientists, industrialists and instructors, the Scientific Board provides the initiative for actions and orientations taken by the Foundation: creation of energy training courses, partnerships with engineering schools and universities, aid and funding, etc. Ensures alignment between programmes and needs, along with project excellence.
Sébastien Broisin, 22, is completing his education at INSA* in Lyon. The future electrical engineer is eager to take advantage of the opportunities that will be presented to young engineers in the coming years.
