Exploring possible futures and casting light on the consequences of today's choices on tomorrow: these are the ambitious aims of this new Chair bringing together Ecole des Mines de Paris, Ecole des Ponts et Chaussées and AgroParisTech, amongst others.
Launched in 2003, this Chair is driven by an interdisciplinary spirit in which the economic and social sciences cooperate with the biological and physical sciences. Its purpose is to help respond to the major challenges of the coming years by improving knowledge and teaching within the field of sustainable development.
The partnership between Paris Dauphine University and the Ecole Polytechnique, and the mission of the Finance and Sustainable Development Chair, is to develop a body of knowledge on the issue of sustainable development and finance. Acting as cross-functional and interdisciplinary, the Chair's aim is to develop an indispensable advisory role for economic and political decision-makers.
